Who can tell me the name of a movie? 10 pts. Pls!!!?
The movie is about an english (or irish) journalist that meets in Venice an american lady that owns with her fiancée (she doesn't love at all) an antiques shop (she went to purchase some antiques to sell in her store).
They journalist and the lady fall in love and spend some time together in Venice, until he's sent to work to a war zone in the middle east, he gets kidnapped. Meantime the lady goes to live with the journalist's family... Do anyone of you know the movie's name]? Thanks a lot!!!
This is what came to mind immediately, but it's been a long time since I've seen it, so I can't be positive.
Harrison's Flowers (2001)
starring Andie MacDowell, Elias Koteas, Brendan Gleeson, Adrien Brody, David Strathairn, Alun Armstrong, Caroline Goodall, Diane Baker, Marie Trintignant, Christian Charmetant, Gerard Butler
IMDB synopsis:
Harrison Lloyd is a Pulitzer-winning photojournalist who works for "Newsweek". His wife and family are making it hard for him to keep his mind on his work when he's in a war zone, and he wants to change jobs to something less stressful. But he's got one last assignment, in war-torn Yugoslavia in 1991, at the height of the fighting. Word comes back that he apparently died in a building collapse, but his wife Sarah, also a journalist for "Newsweek", refuses to believe that he's dead and goes looking for him. She's helped immensely by photojournalists Eric Kyle and Marc Stevenson, who she runs into over there. Together, they're determined to make it through the chaotic landscape to Vukovar, which is not only the nexus of the war but also where she believes Harrison is located. Meanwhile, Harrison's son, Cesar, is looking after his father's prized greenhouse, keeping hope and flowers alive.
I'm not sure about the antiques shop; I don't recall that. But, some of what you describe does sound like "Harrison's Flowers". I'll try looking around some more. // I thought of another film about a kidnapping, "Proof of Life" (2000), but it doesn't match your description beyond the kidnap.

John McCormack's career as an opera star was relatively brief, though it included a number of engagements at Covent Garden and the Met between 1907 and 1919. It was as a recitalist, from about 1910 until the mid-1930s, that he enjoyed his greatest success...
Mount Dora brewing a good time rocking Many people associate Mount Dora, with its antiquities, the Lake County town has a ton of antique shops and boutiques. But what really surprised me on a recent visit was the number of bars there, too. Antique Imp Live at Clancy's Irish Pub Part 1
